Switchable Array in Two Directions-The Phased Vertical.

  Here's an interesting, but hard-to-perfect switchable array for phased vertical antennas.  This design has been used by commercial medium wave radio stations to protect other stations on the same frequency. In this video, Callum (M0MCX) discusses the pros and cons of this antenna design which needs particular attention to detail. Those wishing to have some gain in two selected locations and can have the help of another radio amateur, should find this project enlightening, if somewhat frustrating to get right. Inverted V HF DX Antenna-from a backyard.

  If you live on a small urban lot, erecting a good HF DX antenna can be quite a challenge. In this video from Peter Waters (G3OJV), we can largely solve the DX antenna vs limited space issue by building a simple inverted V dipole antenna. We can either make it monoband or multiband, depending on the type of feed line and "tuner" available.
