If you need a simple, multiband HF antenna, please consider this inverted L design from "Radio Axe." According to "Broadcast Belgium" (https://www.broadcast.be), "The inverted L antenna is simple and easy to build...the radiation pattern is asymmetrical with about 1 to 2 dB in the direction of the horizontal wire." The inverted L is good for locations with limited vertical space.  As with all vertical antennas, the inverted L needs a good ground radial or counterpoise system. Thanks for joining us today. Thanks to Tim (G5TM) for this excellent program about end fed HF antennas.  Tim does a good job of describing both the theory and practical considerations supporting this easily-deployable HF antenna. Here are a few comment from Tim: A look back on how these antennas radiate and why the mono-band option is a good option to consider. ----- Thanks for joining us today. A good way test your emergency communications ability is to participate in a few simple portable operations with a "homebrew" Go-Box. In this video from Josh Nass (KI6NAZ), we see how such a box is made and what it contains. This video features the "Chameleon Tactical Loop Antenna" and the popular ICOM IC-7300 transceiver. Here are some comments from Josh: The first POTA for the ICOM IC-7300 Go-Box. It was a quick activation with some time for lunch and coffee! Thanks to Mike Hannah (W9XAX) for this inexpensive multi-band HF antenna. The antenna covers 40/20/15 meters without an antenna "tuner." Here are some comments from Mike: This is a multi-element vertical HF antenna I designed. I have 2 elements on it which will tune up on 40m, 20m, and 15m without a tuner and most others with a tuner. The goal of this project was to be cheap, yet tuned. It accomplished that goal. Hope you enjoy and leave some feedback!!! 73! Subscribe!!! ----- Thanks for joining us today.
