  If you are plagued by local noise (RFI) or HOA complaints, you may want to try "the antenna you put down, not put up" built by Australian radio Amateur Peter Parker (VK3YE). Peter's wire loop on the ground may be nearly invisible to your neighbors while it reduces some of the bad noise in your area. Although the antenna is primarily for HF reception, it could, in an emergency, be be used a NVIS (near vertical incident skywave) antenna.
