Top Band Vertical small garden/back yard antenna/160m band DX.
Building antennas for the 160m band can be quite challenging, especially if you live on a small urban lot. In this video, Mike (M0MSN) modifies a regular "DX Commander" Vertical Antenna to cover the "Top Band" (160m). The key to operating this modification is a homebrew 160m coil that allows the "DX Commander" Vertical Antenna to work on the "Top Band." Mike (M0MSN0 takes us through the coil building process which allows the vertical to work on 160m. This modification won't dominate 160m, but it will allow you to get on the air and make contacts.
