Testing the W3EDP-mini Antenna using 450-ohm ladder line.
This video from Gil Gruson ("Radio Prepper") shows us how to make a mini-version of the "classic" W3EDP antenna first described in 1936 by H.J. Siegal (W3EDP). This modification is ideal for small backyards and portable operations. In this video I go the the Island of St Marguerite by sailboat and test the antenna on the boat as well as on land. Performance is as expected, not great, but it works and is practical, easy to build and use, as well as cheap. My original W3EDP video: • W3EDP Antenna wit...
