If you need a light weight, highly portable HF antenna for POTA/SOTA or other emergency operations, then this "Smol emergency antenna" from Tim (N7KOM)  is for you. Despite its small size (8 feet/ 2.438 meters), this simple wire antenna performs very well.   Tim shows you how to make it and use it in the field.  Nicely done project! Here are a few comments from Tim (N7KOM): This lightweight and highly portable antenna design by K6STR is an 8-foot loaded endfed random wire built on the center pin of a BNC. I keep this antenna in my ham radio emergency backup kit. If I ever forget my main antenna. This one will work in a pinch. Thanks for the QSOs!
