Hamstick Antenna Great for Small Backyards.
Here's another interesting antenna idea for radio amateurs facing limited space or other HOA restrictions. As Dave Casler (KE0OG) suggests, use a simple "Hamstick" system to get you on the air. Dave shows us a convenient way of using a small backyard as your "antenna farm." Set-up is simple and fairly "stealthy." Hamstick antennas can be used for mobile operations as well by using a mag mount to support the antenna. Here are some comments from Dave (KE0OG): I received from Chameleon Antenna their CHA-QUAD ONE to review. I also bought some MFJ HF Mobile Ham-Tenna Whips. The CHA Quad ONE acts as a hub into which you can put either two Ham-Tenna or other Ham Sticks to create a short dipole, or add a second set to create a two band dipole.
