Simple Ham Radio Antennas

  If you have an old metal "slinky" toy, a fiberglass mast, an antenna "tuner", and some coaxial cable, you have the makings of an experimental "slinky" vertical antenna. In this video from Walt (K4OGO), we see how a common "slinky" can be transformed into an effective random length wire vertical antenna. You may have most of the antenna components around your ham shack or residence.
