Inverted V HF DX Antenna-from a backyard.

If you live on a small urban lot, erecting a good HF DX antenna can be quite a challenge.

In this video from Peter Waters (G3OJV), we can largely solve the DX antenna vs limited space issue by building a simple inverted V dipole antenna.

We can either make it monoband or multiband, depending on the type of feed line and "tuner" available.

Peter does an excellent job of pointing out the pros and cons of this versatile HF antenna.  Don't let a small backyard stop you from pursuing some DX...build an interved V antenna and explore the possibilities.

Here are some comments from Peter (G3OJV):

The Inverted V Antenna has a few advantages when it comes to erection and support. But even at low heights it can still perform as a DX antenna. Peter G3OJV, explains why ultra low angle radiation is neither needed or indeed possible in many ham radio back yards. Watch the Video and see how you can enjoy some DX.
