Locating HF noise source without special equipment.

Nothing is more annoying during a contact than to have noise and static disturb your efforts.

In this video, Kevin Loughin (KB9RLW) show us a simple way to find HF noise and interference in your home or near your ham station.

Most of the tests don't involve complicated equipment or equipment modifications.  Kevin's method will find the causes of your noise, be it poorly shielded power supplies, flickering lights, or something involving your circuit breaker.

Here are some comments from Kevin (KB9RLW):

(I know someone's going to comment, but obviously, you have to put your radio on a battery to do this!) A very simple and relatively quick way of finding offending RF noise sources on the house.
