Mating your coax to ladder line.
According to Roger (AE4VJ), interfacing your coaxial cable with ladder line needn't be a difficult problem. Just follow the guide given in this video, and you'll be able to use whatever cable or ladder line is available in your shack for a simple coax to ladder line connection
Just be aware that a direct tie between ladder line and coax involves major swr problems, since the impedance of coax is around 50 ohms, while ladder line can show an impedance of approximately 450 ohms.
A balanced line "tuner" can help tame the impedance mismatch.
The video is done well, and Roger explains how the mismatch issue can be solve in a variety of ways.
