Half Square Antenna Tips and Tricks.

How would you like to build 20 meter band antenna that fits comfortably on a small urban lot, is bidirectional, and exhibits about 3dB gain over a dipole?

This project is doable if you follow the instructions provided by Peter Waters (G3OJV).

With a few minor modifications, this simple, effective HF antenna can cover several amateur radio bands, including 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10 meters.

Here are some comments from Peter (G3OJV):

The Half Square antenna is capable of fitting into a small space, and this 20m version offers 3dB gain in two directions. It requires only 10m garden length and can be configured to also operate on 40m, 15m and 10m as well as 20m. Even 80m operation is possible with a simple home made add-on.
