Ultimate small garden 4-band HF antenna?

Image
How would you like to have the gain of a half-square antenna applied to 4 HF bands rather than just one?   In this video, Peter Waters (G3OJV) converts a "normal" monoband half-square HF antenna to a low noise, 3dB gain antenna covering 4 Amateur Radio HF bands. Peter's modification is small enought to fit on a small urban lot or into a small garden space in your backyard. Construction is simple, using readily available materials. Here are some observations from Peter (G3OJV): The Half-Square Antenna offers up to 3dB gain on one band. But, Peter G3OJV explains how you can add three more bands. Amazing cheap multiband delta loop horizontal antenna

Image
Loop antennas are cheap, easy-to-build, and fairly quiet.  Properly designed, a delta loop antenna can cover several amateur radio bands. In this video, Callum (M0MCX), discusses the design, construction techniques, and benefits of using a horizontal delta loop antenna.   This antenna design is ideal for NVIS (Near Vertical Incident Skywave) service covering several hundred miles/kilometers.  The horizontal delta loop is an inexpensive antenna for local, regional, and state-wide nets. Here are some comments from Callum (M0MCX): I am about to install a Multi-Band loop which will be resonant on 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m. It needs a 4:1 balun - but other than this balun, this is cheap to build and is well within the possibilities of many small ham radio stations. It wi...
