Unlocking the secrets of the Half Square Antenna
I first encountered the half square HF antenna during an ARRL Field Day event several years ago. The antenna was made for the 20 meter Amateur Radio Band, and did an excellent job of delivering DX to my Hawaii location.
In this video, Callum (M0MCX) shows us to design, build, test, and use this monoband HF antenna, which is capable of delivering approximately 3dB gain over a 1/4 wave vertical antenna.
