Slinky Antenna used for Parks On the Air.

If you enjoy portable operations such as POTA and SOTA, you may find this unusual antennna worth your time.

In this video from Rich (K0PIR), we see how two joined metal "Slinky" toys can produce some excellent field results.  Rich uses a UnUn balun to connect the two slinkys together.

By carefully adjusting the length of these "toys", Rich is able to contact some excellent DX on several amateur radio bands.

Your next antenna may be a near as your children's play room.
