Building a Random Wire Antenna
One of the easiest and least expensive HF antennas is the "classic" random wire antenna.
Properly designed and tested, this antenna can provide hours of great contacts on a variety of HF bands.
In this video from Walt (SP/K4OGO), we see how to maximize the performance of this antenna with a 9:1 balun, a sturdy antenna "tuner", a good counterpoise/radial system, and some quality coaxial cable feedline.
