In this video, Michael Martens (KB9VBR) examines the "Flatlander end fed halfwave antenna" in detail and describes the advantages of using what Michael calls "a better reel antenna."

The antenna covers the 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m bands without an "antenna tuner." A "tuner" can be used to cover the 30m, 17m, and 12m bands.
