KB9VBR Antennas: Ham Radio Fishing Pole Antenna.
Thanks to Michael Martens (KB9VBR) and Chris (N9CVR) for this POTA (Parks on The Air) vertical antenna supported by a common fishing pole.
The antenna system is lightweight, highly portable, and easy-to-set up. As long as the Fish and Game Warden agrees that no physical fish will be caught, you should do well in "catching some rare DX" on the water.
You could also use this idea at home, where easy-set-up and take-down could be a factor in HOAs or other deed-restricted properties.
