HF Antenna XLR Cable Madness


 

Do you have old XLR microphone cables gathering dust in your repair box?  Why not convert them to cheap, efficient HF antennas?

In this video, Simon (VA7BIX) cleans out his project box and transforms some old XLR microphone cables into workable HF antennas.  

All you need are some basic tools, a feedline, and perhaps an antenna "tuner" to make this project come to life.  As Simon shows, this impromptu antenna works great--a perfect addition to your "go-box" or emergency antenna collection.
