Giant Slinky-A truly 'random' wire vertical antenna
If you have an old metal "slinky" toy, a fiberglass mast, an antenna "tuner", and some coaxial cable, you have the makings of an experimental "slinky" vertical antenna.
In this video from Walt (K4OGO), we see how a common "slinky" can be transformed into an effective random length wire vertical antenna.
You may have most of the antenna components around your ham shack or residence.
Anyway, it's always fun to use unusual materials for HF antennas.
