Create a Log Periodic Antenna CLP5130-2.


 

How would you like to make a new 2m to 23cm antenna that exhibits modest gain, has a broad bandwidth, and shows a very low SWR?

If that's the case, then using a Log Periodic Antenna used by David (K9AT) may be for you (CLP5130-2).

Since design parameters are fairly critical, "slow and steady" assembly techniques are necessary.

For years as a ham operator I never paid much attention to Log Periodic Antennas and always went after the Yagi. It wasn't until I took the time to understand the merits of the LPA that they became very attractive to me. Think of it, one beam that covers 5 ham bands with one coax. The only drawback is gain but it's still respectable for it's size. Listen as I guide you through my discovery of what makes a LPA great. 73! K9AT
