DX-Mass Tree Light Dipole
Why not celebrate the holiday season with a Christmas Tree Dipole Antenna? Strange as it seems, this unusual antenna does work, especially using FT8.
The entire construction, testing, and use of this "Yule" antenna is carefully and joyfully explained by Billy Penley (KN4MKB).
This antenna may have no gain, but it surely looks like fun!

Here are some comments from Billy (KN4MKB):
It's getting more and more common to make a Christmas light antenna here on YouTube, so this year I wanted to switch it up. Last year I made the EFHW, this year I made a regular ole Dipole. But I decided to decorate the tree with it, and see if I could still make an FT8 contact, and wow did it surprise me. I made a DX contact basically right off the bat, so as always, you don't need a giant yagi outside to play on HF. 00:00 Intro 00:33 Making The Antenna 03:10 Decorate The Tree 03:25 Show Off 04:40 FT8 06:20 Outro Christmas Lights and BNC Dipole Connector (Affiliate link): https://www.amazon.com/shop/modernham... ➡️Join this channel to get access to perks⬅️ / @modernham ★★★ IMPORTANT LINKS★★★ ✅Follow My Instagram- / modernham ✅Follow My Twitter- / hammodern ✅Blog and Merch - https://themodernham.com Gear I use (Amazon Affiliate Link) 🔥 https://amazon.com/shop/modernham ⚡ Join the ModernHams Discord: ⚡ / discord 📻 Radioddity Referal Link: 📻 / discord
