My HEXBEAM HD Mark II from SP7ID.

If you want to try a news HF antenna experience, please check out the HEXBEAM manufactured by SP7ID (Waldi).

In this video from Paul (OM0ET), we see how this excellently crafted HF antenna is assembled, tested, and used.

Although I usually prefer making my own antennas out of wire and locally sourced materials, I can see why some radio amateurs are attracted to such beautifully designed antennas such as this Hexbeam from SP7ID (Waldi).  It's a true piece of antenna art.

Here are some comments from Paul (OM0ET):

Finally i mounted my new HEXBEAM antenna on the roof! It works excellent. SWR is low as 1:1,2 on all 6 bands. Aditional tunning was not needed and all was plug and play system. Good job Waldi! Antenna elevation is about 35m above the ground level and about 4m above the roof level.
