Your First Antenna--The Inverted V Dipole-Ham Radio Basics


Now that you've become a new Amateur Radio operator, you face the difficult task of choosing your first HF antenna.

According to the folks at "Ham Radio DX" (VK7HH), the simple, easily-made Inverted Vee Dipole is one of the best antennas in your toolbox.  The antenna can be made from inexpensive wire and a convenient length of 50-ohm coaxial cable for the antenna feedline.
