W3EDP Multi-band Antenna--Did it vanish or evolve?
One of my favorite multiband HF antennas is the "classic" W3EDP design from H. J. Siegal (W3EDP). Siegal discussed his experiments in the March 1936 edition of "QST."
Since that time, this antenna has evolved into many forms which are popular today for both portable and home station use.
In this video from Peter Waters (G3OJV), we see how the original W3EDP was made and how it changed over the decades.

Here are some comments from Peter (G3OJV):
The W3EDP Antenna was conceived in 1936. Over the years the design has changed. Watch the Video and decide for yourself, the answer to the question - Vanished or Evolved?
