Incredible long wire end fed antenna--amazing results!


On your next portable operation, please try this intriguing receive antenna discussed by Callum (M0MCX).

Properly installed, long wire receive antennas can deliver some truly amazing results.  In this video, Callum tests his long wire end fed antenna and reports significant gain performance over standard dipole antennas.

Adapting this design for transmitting involves a lot of challenges, which should be reserved for the future.  Antennas such as Callum's are direct descendants of the "classic" Beverage Antenna which appeared in the early 1920s.  Why not build this project and see what it can do?
