If you live in a deed-restricted home or apartment, this attic antenna design from Stan Gibilisco (W1GV) could get you on the air without drawing attention of HOA enforcement committees.

You will need a good ground system and a wide-range antenna transmatch (i.e. "antenna tuner") to get maximum performance from this antenna.
