Building a 2 meter Dipole Antenna from a broom
A truly inspiring antenna project from Drew and his daughter Hannah as they create a functioning 2 meter dipole antenna made from a broom handle, some coax, wire, pvc pipe, and a few assorted pieces found in their home.

Here are some comments from Drew and Hannah:
We built a 2m dipole antenna out of a broom handle, pvc and some other small pieces that we had laying around the house. Ham radio is such a wonderful hobby in part because simple builds like this are possible. No need for complicated and expensive builds... unless you want to! This amateur radio antenna's SWR turned out to be between 1.2 and 1.5 across the whole band, so not too bad.
