This is post 2679 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas.

If you want to add a bit more "punch" to your 2 meter signal, then this antenna project from Australian radio amateur Peter Parker (VK3YE) is what you need.

Peter says this vertical extended double zepp antenna is ideal for VHF FM simplex and repeater applications.

Here are a few comments from Peter:

A very simple but very good omnidirectional vertical antenna for VHF FM simplex and repeaters. But that's not all. What is it? It's a extended double zepp antenna for 2m. And it does 6m as well. Watch to find out how easy one is to build.
