This is post 2458 in a continuous series of simple ham radio antennas.

Thanks to Peter of UK's "Watersstanton" for this nostalgic and frighteningly true account of World War II antennas that saved many lives.  Some of these radios and and antennas are still workable to day. Perhaps this video will encourage you to experiment with home made radios and stealth antennas.

In this short, well-made video, "taverned" shows us how he used a mag mount antenna, a simple C clamp, and a basic ground system to convert his mountain bike into a mobile station.  The project is straight forward, simple, and gives you emergency communications while you peddle down the road.
