Here's another interesting post from Australian radio amateur Peter Parker (VK3YE).

In his contact with Joseph (VK7JS), Peter learned that Joseph was using a two-turn magnetic loop just 1.5meters/4.92 ft in diameter made from semi-flexible coaxial cable.  According to Joseph, the entire antenna can be rolled up to a 1 meter/3.28 ft diameter bundle--perfect for both home and field use.

This homebrew magnetic loop antenna performed well, considering it was used on the 80 meter amateur radio band.  During the recorded contact with Peter (VK3YE), Joseph (VK7JS) gives a full description of his new antenna.  If you live in a deed-restricted home or apartment, this antenna could be a way of staying on the air.
