The new military 2.0 multiband tuner free Alpha Antenna is good, practical HF antenna for portable or emergency use. According to "videosbymike" the antenna doesn't require an antenna "tuner" and easily covers the 80 through 10 meter Amateur Radio bands. This video does an excellent job of showing how to unpack, assemble, mount, and use this versatile HF antenna. In this video, portable, foldout solar panels and a solar panel controller provide the power, while a simple tripod holds the antenna in place.
