Simple Ham Radio Antennas--Slinky Antenna. Post #556.
If you're having trouble viewing this video, please insert this URL into your browser search box: https://youtu.be/O8RmNpFXFzA. Slinky antennas are fun to work with. I've used full sized slinkys to make helically wound dipoles for 40 and 20 meters. They work fine as a temporary or portable antenna. In this video, Andy (G7TKK) demonstrates his small, fold-up slinky loop at the Sandford Mill, the site of the Chemsford Amateur Radio Society (UK) outdoor display. Interesting and curious antenna.
